Born from a desire to provide a free and accessible experience of diplomacy for all, AbbyMUN is proud to host its 6th iteration— standing as the largest free day conference in British Columbia. Since its establishment in 2019, AbbyMUN has been a platform for aspiring young leaders to challenge ideas, engage in meaningful dialogue, all without financial barriers. This year, it is my distinct honour to welcome you to Abbotsford Model United Nations 2025.

This iteration, our substantive program reflects a diverse and challenging myriad of global and historical issues: From examining the evolving role of private military and security companies in DISEC, to re-evaluating international intervention in Kosovo in UNSC and the pursuit of justice during the Salem Witch Trials in HCC, this year’s committees invite all delegates engage in fruitful debate and endure a curiosity for the mechanisms that shape our world today. Complementing these committees is AbbyMUN’s signature Combined Crisis, featuring a surprise topic revealed at the conference itself. This dynamic simulation challenges delegates to think critically act decisively with delegates from all committees in order to adapt to the fast-paced realities of diplomacy under pressure.
